 Principal:   Mr. Jeffrey Hildreth

Hello and welcome to the Anderson School web site.  My name is Mr. Hildreth and I have been the Principal of Anderson School for over seven years.  Anderson School is a fantastic school with a long history of excellence and caring for all students.  We have grades kindergarten through 5th grade at our school.  We also have a Pre-K program for three and four year olds.  The school was built in 1952 and additions were built in 1958, 1975, 1995, and the most recent addition was in 2000.  We are located in a very quiet semi-rural area with the Tekawitha Forest Preserve across the street and a pair of goats next door.

Our students score very high on state and national tests.  Please see our State Report Card at http://iirc.niu.edu/.  Go to the site and then type Anderson in the box and click Go.  At this interactive site you will find information about our Illinois State Achievement Test results, a school profile, our student population, our teachers, and district financial status.  We are proud of our students, our staff and our community.  Anderson is a fantastic school.

We welcome visitors at Anderson School.  If you would like to visit our school, please call and arrange a time to visit.  We will take you on a tour of the school, visit in a classroom of the grade level you need to see, and provide you with grade level curriculum information.

We provide a wide range of services at Anderson School.  We have a hot lunch program, and services for Special Education Resource, English Language Learners, and Speech and Language.  We have a nurse on site all day, programs for advanced students, and band and orchestra classes.

We have a very active parent involvement program.  Our PTO has monthly meetings and organizes many evening programs.  We have a parent volunteer system where parents work in a classroom or we have jobs where parents work in the staff workroom making copies for teachers.  We can accommodate most any schedule and we enjoy the help.

Each grade level and department has information on this site and there are links to our PTO and the CUSD 303 web site.  Please feel free to comment on this site so we can improve.  We welcome your feedback.

So again, welcome to the Anderson School web site.  We hope you enjoy the information about our school and that we hear from you soon.
